Tainan + Guanziling

Tainan is the oldest city in Taiwan and was a Dutch colony for a while. Guanziling is a famous hot spring in Taiwan.

One of the Dutch settlements

This was neat. Called the treehouse, it's a house that has been pretty much taken over by the trees. There are more  branches than walls.

A former doorway, now a tree made prison. This type of tree extends roots through the air from its branches, and when they touch the ground they take root and support the tree.

Guanziling is called a muddy hot springs, there are lots of minerals in the water that give it a white murky appearance, I guess it's one of three in the world, the others being in Japan and Italy.

They had another pool that was somewhat brown, I assume a different mineral concentration. There was very little English in this area.

They also had a "fish doctor" pool where you put your feet in and little fish eat the skin off! Really neat but incredibly ticklish. I could hold maybe 15 seconds before I had to remove my feet, especially when the bigger fish started nibbling. It's also neat to see the fish follow your foot as you hover it over the water.
